Drill Hall beach is located on the south coast of the island, in the parish of St. Michael. The pink tinted sand here is fantastic and this is quite a large beach.
The car park is well shaded with plenty of trees and picnic tables. Don’t panic if you hear gun fire, you are right next door to the National Defense Force, where soldiers are training!
Things to Do
This is a top surf spot, due to the shallow reef; it is not great for regular swimming, as the shallow reef creates waves. There is a lifeguard on duty.
The beach is undergoing renovations and we will keep you updated as to new amenities that can be found there, once this programme is completed. In the meantime you need to take your own food and drink as it is quite far from the main road and there are no shops nearby.
