Long Beach is located at one of the most south-easterly points of the island. The stunning scenery is well worth a visit.
There is a beautiful and picturesque point overlooking the cliff, below is a 2-mile stretch of sand, with turquoise sea. You need to climb down the stairs to get to the beach, so you need to be quite able bodied to reach this beach. It is also quite isolated so we recommend that you go in a group for safety reasons.
Things to Do
It is ideal for a sunset walk, beach party, group picnic or even great for a wedding! Due to the cooling breezes it is a very enjoyable spot with plenty of beach to explore. Conditions here are ideal for kite surfing. The sea here can be rough; although it is safe for strong swimmers but beware there is no lifeguard on duty.
Long Beach Club was a private hotel located here but has since been demolished and closed down.
The beach has no amenities.
Features
— Excellent kite surfing spot
— Good picnic spot
Driving Directions
From Oistins heading away from Bridgetown, the road comes to a fork, take the right turn and head up towards the Silver Sands area. You will reach an oval shaped roundabout, go straight over, follow this road all the way to the end; this will take you to where the Long Beach Club used to exist.
