Batts Rock Beach is located on the west coast of Barbados, in the parish of St. James. Batts Rock Beach is another hidden treasure in Barbados and is just a short walk from Brighton beach.
Its setting is wonderful in a beautiful park which is currently being rehabilitated by the NCC (National Conservation Commission).
Things to Do
There are picnic tables, showers, toilets, a lifeguard on duty and a children’s playground.
There is no food or drink for sale so it is a good idea to take a picnic. There are lots of tress for shade and you will see Barbados green monkeys running wild.
An ideal location for weddings, this is a very peaceful area with no water sports operating from this beach, however, there it is a good spot for snorkeling.

Driving Directions
From Bridgetown head towards the Harbour along Prices Alice Highway, going past the Pelican Craft Centre, turn right and follow road until you reach the Elsie Payne roundabout, turn right here, then at traffic lights turn left on to the Spring Garden Highway. At the Frank Worrell roundabout turn right onto Walmer Lodge, you will see an Esso station on your right, there is a left turn coming up just after that sign posted Batts Rock Beach. Follow road down the hill until you reach the car park.
