Good Shepherd beach is located on the west coast of the island, in the parish of St. James and is named after the church that sits right on the waterfront.
Things to Do
It is a lovely spot for a picnic with tables and plenty of tress for shade. The water here can be slightly rocky however it is calm for swimming, but please note there is no lifeguard on duty. This is where the infamous 8 miles of gold coast starts and is a very serene spot for a quiet day at the beach.
Here you are next door to Fitts Village Beach, which has toilets, showers and a beach bar selling food and drink. Fitts Village also has a supermarket for you to pick up picnic supplies.

Driving Directions
From Spring Garden Highway, at the Frank Worrell roundabout turn right onto Walmer Lodge, you will see an Esso station on your right, Follow road up the west coast until you pass Escape Hotel on your left, you will see a sign on left for Good Shepherd/Fitts Village Beach.
