Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luncheon
Standard and Poor’s to give prognosis for the Barbadian economy in 2007
The recent review by the Central Bank of the performance of the Barbadian Economy in 2006 confirmed that the country recorded economic growth for the fifth consecutive year. Although predictions for 2007 anticipate further growth it is expected that a number of factors especially energy prices will impact on the certain sectors during the coming months.
In order to put things in perspective the Chamber has invited an independent source, the internationally renowned credit rating agency, Standard and Poor’s, with considerable experience and knowledge of the situation in Barbados and the Caribbean in general to share their projections on the outlook for Barbados in 2007.
The guest speaker on this occasion will be Ms Helena Hessel, Director, Sovereign Ratings at Standard and Poor’s.
You and your guests are invited to join us at 12 noon on Wednesday, 21 February 2007 at Hilton Barbados for what should be a very enlightening discussion.
