Lawrence Johnson Roundabout
Long Standing Member of the Barbados Labour Party. Roundabout located near St. Thomas Church on Highway 2A. Highway 2A is named after another noted Barbadian Sir Ronald Mapp.
Mr. Lawrence Johnson was born on 23rd July, 1923 and died at the age of 69 on 12th February, 1992. A long standing member of the Barbados Labour Party; Mr. Johnson was honoured as a Stalwart in the 1988 Jubilee!
Mr. Johnson held the following positions: National Council Representative of the Barbados Labour Party.President and Vice President of the St. Thomas Constituency Branch .He was a founding member and share holder of the Early Bird Taxi Association
A tremendous supporter and member of the Central Taxi Association. Mr. Johnson’s life service to the government is outstanding.
He was a gentleman who ‘wore many hats’ serving in numerous capacities in his home community and in the wider arena of Barbados.
His accomplishments include his proficiency as Campaign Manager for the renowned late Member of Parliament and respected Prime Minister J.M.G.M. (Tom) Adams in the constituency of St. Thomas.
