Flower Forest Gardens
Barbados Flower Forest Gardens
The Flower Forest is a place of peace and tranquility for everyone, which will calm the ravaged, overworked soul and help to ease one into true holiday relaxation.
This mature rainforest is populated by tropical Royal Palms and various tropical trees, with collections of tropical flowers planted underneath. Heliconias, gingers, anthuriums, and many more make for a relaxing visit and some shareable photos of you and the garden.
Navigating the largest garden in Barbados is relatively easy because the main pathways are flat. Drinks, Ice cream, and lunch are available in the cafe, and a nice gift shop sells only locally made craft works.
Admission to Gardens:
- Adults: US $15.00 / BDS $30.00
- Children: ages 4 – 12 pay half
- Children: under 4 – free admission
The heart of the garden is one of the most romantic, serene places in Barbados. The park is ten (10) acres, and the paths are flat, with no steps.
The distance to walk around the flower forest gardens is almost one (1) kilometer to go around the main flat path. But the experience is very much worth the effort.
For those with mobility challenges, a wheelchair is available in the gardens. The bathrooms are accessible and friendly, as are the walk-in and around the restaurant.
Please let us know if anyone in your party needs assistance, and let us know how we can help.
The gardens consist of fifty-three (53.6) acres reserved only for green botanical ventures. Seven (7) acres of wild garden in the Barbados Scotland District, seven hundred and fifty (750) feet above sea level.
A quiet gazebo, numerous strategically-placed benches, views over the hills, fabulous flowers, and a shaded forest of peace and tranquillity. Breathe the pure, clean oxygen in the easterly breezes that have just crossed an ocean, and relax.

Lunch at the Flower Forest Cafe
The large indoor/outdoor pavilion provides a location to gather your thoughts while taking in the sounds of the birds in the forest. You can enjoy a fantastic lunch at the Flower Forest Cafe with local fish cakes, flying fish, or perhaps a simple cup of lemongrass or bay leaf tea to soothe the soul.
Gift Shop
The gift shop sells locally made arts and crafts created by Bajan hands. Earthworks Pottery (our sister attraction) creates beautiful original gifts, functional dishwashers, and microwave-proof, food-safe stoneware, and makes a beautiful Barbados souvenir.
Wedding Venue
Flower Forest Gardens is both an indoor and an outdoor wedding venue possibility. You are “covered” in case of any weather event. If the garden is rainy, stay inside the spacious pavilion and venture back out after the Caribbean clouds move west.
We look forward to helping make this an experience for you to remember.
