The Hope Sanctuary
The Hope Sanctuary
The Hope Sanctuary is an animal welfare charity – a safe haven, a shelter and re-homing center for abandoned, neglected and abused dogs and cats in Barbados.
We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.
Our vision is to work towards the day when no animal in Barbados will live in pain or fear, ever again.
Not only are we a sanctuary, we also assist low income individuals with veterinary and food bills, plus advice and help with good care and responsible ownership.
We work tirelessly to promote the prevention of cruelty to animals.
We organise stray dog feeding stations and we adamantly support and assist with a neutering and spaying program.
The Hope Sanctuary adhere to a strict ‘no kill policy’. We are a SANCTUARY that will care for any dog or cat willed to us for the rest of its life unless it is certified to be incurably ill or unmanageably aggressive.
The Hope Sanctuary is a non-profit organisation run by a small team of volunteers. We rely solely on fundraising and donations; monthly book sales, collection tins and personal contributions.
Our current annual running costs are estimated at $84,000 Barbados Dollars ($42,000 US).
We are continually underfunded as we battle to fight our cause.
